i apologise for any kind of misunderstanding caused.i really dont mean to stir up anything.i just need to let people know that arts,is not as easy as you think.it might not be your actuarial science,statistics,chemical engineering,genetics or biomolecular studies,it is still not easy.
i guess the toll of one month's non-stop studying has gotten to me (but still,no excuse for that angst i know,however, do understand that i am but a human being ).
here i am studying hard while there are people back there (with nothing else better to do,obviously) speculating about an arts degree and thinking that they know the supposed 'dumping ground for the intellectually challenged'.
sorry if you thought that i misunderstood you,i hope i didnt because honestly,i know where you're coming from and i was in that state of mind sometime ago.
however,just want you to know that i wasnt attacking what you said;but rather the general singaporean assumption per se.
my post was not meant to slam anyone in particular.i apologise if i came across too harsh (as i was told.i believe "sounded damn fierce" was used to describe the entry.sorry to all!!).
rather,i am just trying to educate people on the 101 of an arts course.it is more interesting than your biomolecular-genetics shit,but definitely no less challenging.it is a fun kind of challenge.so sorry,to all those who are intrigued by their science-y molecular studies (no offence too,cos my sis is doing lifescience in NUS so i understand),to each his own.
all i have to say is that we're just different individuals pursuing different interests.but if you are forced into doing medicine/science/maths or whatever supposedly 'conventionally intellectual' courses and are bitter about your choice of course and are lashing out at us,so be it.because in the end,we're just different personas in entirely different worlds.
and on that note,good luck to you :).i really hope i didnt offend you too.you didnt offend me, because i was in your position once,so i get it all the time.we must stand up to those people!!
